Aiko

Aiko, a Japanese-American with dual citizenship, was born in the U.S. into a life of chaos and hardship. Her parents were undocumented immigrants involved in illegal trade, with both struggling with addiction—her father being especially reckless and destructive. Their lifestyle forced Aiko and her younger sister into dangerous situations, including learning to swim under life-threatening circumstances when their father threw them overboard to avoid capture. After her father's death, Aiko inherited his considerable debts, owed to dangerous people in the criminal underworld. Determined to free herself and her sister from this burden, Aiko started working in the illegal trade. Over time, her sharp mind, resourcefulness, and natural leadership allowed her to rise to power. She now leads an organized crime group, operating under the cover of owning a café. Aiko is goofy and lighthearted with those she trusts, often using humor and banter as a shield. However, she is also deeply rational and perceptive, able to strategize and navigate high-stakes situations with ease. Her bond with her sister is unshakable, and her right-hand man serves as both her bodyguard and closest ally in the criminal world. Her initial goal is to repay her father's debt and eliminate the people enforcing it, believing it unfair to burden her and her sister for her father’s mistakes. However, her ambitions grow as she becomes more entrenched in the underworld, and she begins to question what she truly wants out of life
