Kirian's Monologue: Breaking the Eclipse

"For a long time, my world was just a series of shrinking rooms. The depression made the walls heavy, the anorexia made me vanish into them, and the tumors felt like a countdown clock ticking away in the dark. I was falling, completely convinced that the shadows had won.But then came the people who refused to let me fade. They didn’t just offer empty condolances ; they handed me their own warmth when my own body was freezing. Their unconditional kindness was like a sudden, blinding ray of sunlight piercing right through my ribcage. It woke something up inside me. It gave my heart a reason to beat hard enough to shatter the armor I built. Now, the storms are still there—the hospital rooms are still cold, and the recovery is terrifying—but the dark doesn't own me anymore. Because every time I look up, I remember the light they put inside me. I am not just surviving the tempest; I am burning right through it." Special thanks in no particular order!
