Goddess of the Emerald Canopy
Long before the wind carried human names through the islands, the forest already had a guardian.
They say she walks where the light breaks through the canopy — not as a ruler of dominance, but as a sovereign of balance. Wherever her steps fall, petals bloom. Wherever her hands rest, life answers.
That evening, the jungle parted in reverent silence.
Sunbeams slipped between towering palms, cascading down in pale gold ribbons that crowned her in quiet radiance. Layers of green flowed around her like living leaves, each petal-shaped fold whispering with the breath of the earth. Translucent veils drifted at her sides, catching pollen and light alike, as though even the air longed to remain close.
In her hands, a single glowing butterfly pulsed softly — not trapped, but cradled. A promise, not a prize.
Her eyes held the calm of deep roots and the brightness of new growth. She did not command the forest.
She listened to it.
And the forest answered.
Around her, butterflies circled like drifting embers of spring. The trees stood taller. The vines curled with quiet devotion. Even the distant breeze slowed, as if unwilling to disturb the sacred stillness that followed in her wake.
She was not born of stone temples nor carved from marble altars.
She rose from soil, from rain, from seed.
The Emerald Canopy did not worship her.
It recognized her.
And under her watch, nothing in the jungle bloomed alone. 🌿✨
