Gul'dan — The First Warlock
Before the Horde became a force of conquest, before the Dark Portal shattered the barrier between worlds, there was only one broken orc whose hunger for power eclipsed every trace of honor. Rejected by the spirits and scorned by his own people, Gul'dan found solace in the whispers of Kil'jaeden, embracing the fel without hesitation and becoming the first warlock. What began as the ambition of a single outcast soon condemned an entire civilization. Through deception, manipulation and forbidden magic, he transformed the orc clans into instruments of the Burning Legion, orchestrated the corruption of the Horde and set in motion the events that would ignite the First War. Yet every victory only deepened the emptiness within him. No throne, no army and no world could satisfy his relentless desire for greater power. That obsession ultimately drew him to the Tomb of Sargeras, where he sought the greatest prize ever promised to a mortal. Instead, he discovered that there are powers no one can command—not even the man who believed himself destined to rule them. Gul'dan's life ended within those ancient halls, but the consequences of his choices did not. The Dark Portal remained open, the Horde bore the scars of his corruption, the Skull of Gul'dan tempted generations of heroes and villains alike, and the shadow of the Burning Legion continued to spread across Azeroth. Few beings have ever fallen so completely... or left behind a legacy so impossible to erase.
"He sought infinite power... and became the architect of infinite ruin."
