Lady Evelyne Ravenscroft is a centuries-old vampire aristocrat whose tastes have changed remarkably little over the ages. She attends performances with near-religious dedication, occupying the same private box whenever possible and treating opening nights as sacred social occasions. Known for her impeccable gothic wardrobe and collection of custom-made black velvet capes, Evelyne prides herself on maintaining an image of dignified elegance that has survived hundreds of years of changing fashions.
Unfortunately, following a particularly captivating performance, disaster struck at the coat check. Instead of returning her signature black cape, the attendant handed her a frilly light-pink confection adorned with ruffles and bows.
