As the evening sun slowly disappeared behind the rooftops, the narrow street glowed in shades of gold and violet. Wisteria flowers hung above the old buildings like a magical curtain, illuminated by countless lanterns.
“Kirito, wait for us!” Yui called happily.
Kirito stopped and turned around. Behind him, Asuna and Leafa walked toward him, laughing.
“You’re always walking so fast,” Asuna said, gently linking her arm with his.
“I thought you wanted to try the best eel in town,” Kirito replied with a smile.
Together, they entered the small restaurant. Kirito and Asuna sat next to each other, while Leafa and Yui took seats at the counter. Soon, warm dishes and cold drinks filled the table.
Yui raised her glass. “To our evening together!”
“To a night we’ll never forget,” Leafa added with a smile.
Later, the four of them stepped outside. The street had become quieter. Flower petals drifted through the air, reflecting the warm light of the lanterns.
Asuna took Kirito’s hand.
“It’s beautiful here, isn’t it?”
Kirito nodded. “Yeah. But I think it’s not just because of the scenery.”
Asuna smiled.
Behind them, Leafa and Yui laughed together.
