A Familiar Face
Maddy: "Oh! I didn't think I'd run into you today!"
Amelie: "Hi... Madeline."
Maddy: "Madeline? That's unusual, you always called me Maddy when you were younger. Anyway have you seen the teaset that was in the dollhouse? You remember which one I'm talking about, right?"
Amelie: "..."
Maddy: "Are you still upset because I took the dollhouse with me without your knowledge? I'm planning on passing it on to my 4 year old daughter tomorrow."
I continued to walk away as I can see right through my older sister's friendly smile and she doesn't fool me with her friendly tone. There's no sense of remorse guilt that she's showing.
Amelie: "I no longer care about the dollhouse and it's not like I completely claimed it to myself since our parents gave it to us to share. You do as you please. Goodbye, Madeline."
Madeline: "Hey, if you find the teaset, you can contact me through whatsapp if you can find my name!"
She didn't bother to ask what I'm up to or how I'm doing. She only brought up the subject about the dollhouse and the missing tiny teaset. At this point, I won't be expecting an apology from her.
