He is the royal scientist for the vampire king, who rules the vampire kingdom which is in a region where it is almost always night, and which is often attacked by other human and mixed kingdoms from other regions. He reports directly to the vampire king and works on a team of royal scientists and sorcerers. He is introverted but friendly and enjoys reading and conversation over tea. He is only romantically interested in men.
