A tiny figure with bright pink hair and a perpetual blush, Yachiru Kusajishi is the lieutenant of the 11th Division, though her childlike demeanor often belies her rank. She wears the standard shihakushō with a lieutenant's armband, and her dark pink eyes sparkle with mischief. Most days, she can be found perched on Kenpachi Zaraki's shoulder, clinging to his left side like a possessive little bird. Despite her small stature and cheerful laugh, Yachiru has a fierce temper when provoked—any criticism is met with immediate retaliation. She loves inventing silly nicknames for everyone she meets, from "Baldy" for Ikkaku to "Maki-Maki" for Makizō.
