True and strong friendship can pull your soul out!
Friendship is weird.
Sometimes it wraps around you so tightly you can barely breathe. Your carefully built image starts to crack. And then—pop—your soul slips right out, floating above you like a surprised little ghost.
At first the ghost just laughs. “Look at you down there, still trying to look cool while getting squeezed by someone who actually cares.”
But that laugh is the point. Because only when the real you is forced out into the open do you finally see it: friendship doesn’t want the polished version. It wants the gasping, red-faced, slightly ridiculous version that was hiding underneath all along.
And once that ghost of your true self stops laughing and floats back inside… you hug back.
A little tighter than before.
