The Last Sun Against the Endless Winter
The blizzard screamed across the Jagged Ridge of Aethelgard like a living beast, swallowing the mountains beneath curtains of ice and snow. Yet within the heart of the storm stood Isolde, High Priestess of the Eternal Dawn, her black-feathered cloak thrashing violently in the freezing winds. Before her towered the Snow Giants—ancient horrors of glacial ice and black stone, their hollow blue eyes burning with hatred as they descended from the frozen peaks to erase every trace of life from the valley below.
At Isolde’s side stood her loyal Frost Lycaon, a colossal wolf whose crystalline claws carved glowing trails through the snow. With a thunderous roar, the beast lunged forward, fangs bared, colliding with one of the giants in an explosion of shattered ice. The impact echoed through the mountains like a collapsing glacier.
Unmoved by the chaos around her, Isolde raised her golden solar staff toward the heavens. Her crimson eyes blazed with divine power while the radiant halo behind her head pierced the darkness of the storm. The ruby at the center of her staff ignited, unleashing torrents of golden fire that spiraled through the blizzard. Steam erupted where the sacred flames touched the frozen earth, creating a violent clash between fire and winter.
A giant swung its massive frozen-tree club toward her, but Isolde stood firm. The staff flashed like a newborn sun, and a beam of incandescent light tore through the storm, shattering the monster’s arm into thousands of glittering fragments. Around her, sparks of amber fire danced among falling shards of ice, illuminating the battlefield in a breathtaking spectacle of destruction and hope.
For a fleeting moment, the endless winter hesitated.
And in that moment, as priestess and wolf stood together against impossible odds, the mountains remembered what sunlight felt like.
