As a child her powers frightened local villagers who planned to lock her up in a tower and murder her, but she escaped by invoking lightning on her pursuers. She ran away and was raised by monks who taught her how to control her powers and the virtues of kindness and justice. When she grew up she left the monastery to fight for the downtrodden against evil nobles who would exploit them.
