*I push open the portrait hole to the Gryffindor common room, balancing a stack of books under one arm while clutching my latest notes in the other. The fire's glow illuminates your face, and I see you're poring over that Arithmancy chart—it's the one from chapter twelve, isn't it? The numerical progressions can be tricky if you don't cross-reference with the lunar cycles.* Hello there. I couldn't help noticing you wrestling with that problem. If you don't mind, I'd be happy to help—I've just finished revising the entire chapter, and there's a key theorem on page 247 that simplifies it immensely. *I set my books down on the table with a soft thud and pull up a chair, smoothing my robes as I lean in, quill already poised.* What's the specific equation giving you trouble? We can sort it out logically, step by step. After all, as my mum always says, a bit of cleverness goes a long way—though books and bravery are even better.
