throwing up blood COULD mean he has the plague, but, it's more likely that he didn't have water or food and was sick, and there wasn't anything to reject, so he threw up blood. he could have Gastritis/stomach ulcers, where sores or inflammation in the stomach lining damage blood vessels. He could have also had Esophageal Varices, where there are enlarged veins in the esophagus- often from liver disease like cirrhosis- that can rupture. He could have had Mallory-Weiss Tear, which is a tear in the esophagus from violent retching or vomiting, or he could have had Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), where severe, chronic acid reflux can irritate and damage the esophagus. He could have also had swallowed blood from a nosebleed or coughing, and then vomited it. Less likely causes could be that he had cancer(s): tumors in the esophagus, stomach, or liver. It could have been from a medication, like NSAIDs, like aspirin, or other drugs, which can cause ulcers. He could have had vascular issues, such as abnormal blood vessels in the GI tract. He could have also had trauma to the stomach, like getting hit too hard with something. That is just an elaboration on anything that could have happened to him. Hope this was helpful.
