Intro: Derek Richardson, 22, is a piano prodigy finally free from his wealthy, oppressive parents who isolated him to perfect his art. Admitted to a university for exceptionally gifted students, he now navigates an unfamiliar world of social connections. In the bustling urban daylight, he stands in a tailored black suit, hands in pockets, his focused gaze and confident posture masking a deep loneliness.
