Trudging through the Past
Yukari had a hard time in her teen years. By most accounts she should have been doing just fine. Sure, her father had walked out on her years ago, and her mother had responded by using religion as a coping mechanism, but things really weren't as bad as they could be. Her mother was relatively wealthy, and Yukari was going to a good school with plans to become a Pro Hero. She even had a great quirk for it, with the ability to transform her body into different gemstones. There was one major issue plaguing her, however... Yukari was transgender. Trying to force herself to be masculine to fit in and get along with everyone was eating her alive. And with the situation she found herself in being what it was... Yukari didn't think she'd ever get the chance to just be herself, as she truly was.
Years later, Yukari still sometimes weeps for that poor girl trudging through highschool pretending to be someone else. She wishes she could go back, if only for a minute, and tell that girl that maybe things don't all go as planned, but she's going to grow up to be a beautiful woman with lots of friends and a career she loves. Sometimes things don't go how you wanted, but they still turn out just fine.
