LADDER OF WISDOM
No one knows where this staircase leads.
It begins among ribbons and flowers, surrounded by the whispers of leaves, and vanishes into the light, as if the forest had forgotten it on purpose. They say Chau Fah once lived here.
He was neither king nor warrior. He was a philosopher with calloused hands and weary eyes.
But unlike the stories of old, Chau Fah descends only once a year from that endless staircase. He comes at dusk, to illuminate wanderers and adventurers who cross the valley. His words are few, yet they shine brighter than torches, guiding those who dare to listen.
The people say his greatest revelations were never born in books. They were born halfway up the climb, when the sun slipped through the branches and painted the carved dragons on the rock in gold.
Chau Fah used to say: “The truth is neither above nor below. It is in the climbing.”
Today the staircase remains. No one knows where it goes.
Yet even now, footsteps echo on its steps.
And if you climb with your heart prepared, perhaps when you reach the top, you too will have a revelation to tell.
