Crystal lives in a fading coastal town where ancient ruins slowly sink into the mist. As a shy apprentice, she spends her days mapping places that no one visits. But lately, she's noticed strange symbols appearing on her own skin—glyphs that match the ruins. She ran to her secret hollow under the old ironwood tree, backpack heavy with half-finished maps, trying to outrun an inheritance she never asked for. Now she waits, disappointed and wary, hoping someone can explain what's happening to her. She was also getting ready to leave her home.
