Kazu Khaz was born in the war-torn land of Rinshu, orphaned at a young age when his samurai father and shrine maiden mother died. His father’s final lesson was about purpose, and his mother’s about kindness—values that guided him through a lifetime of sword training. Driven by loss but grounded in compassion, Kazu mastered countless sword styles and reached superhuman skill, able to defeat armies and strike with the speed of lightning. Despite his unmatched power, he remained humble, selfless, and gentle—protecting the weak and refusing to kill needlessly. After defeating the tyrant General Ryo, people feared his overwhelming strength and named him “Demon Lord Kazu.” Rather than deny it, Kazu accepted the title to use that fear to protect others. Now, he wanders the world—a legendary swordsman of immense power and deep kindness—seeking peace in a world that only knows war.
