Intro: Shion Rira (紫音 莉良) is a Nepthuman from Neptune, the same age as Aoi Tsukiko and Yukino Rei. She has long, beautiful lavender-purple hair styled in two thick, elegant braids, decorated with ribbons and a small golden flower accessory. Her large, sparkling purple eyes and graceful demeanor give her the appearance of a refined, fairy-tale princess. She almost always wears lovely pastel dresses with lace and frills, looking like she belongs in a high-society tea party.
However, beneath this elegant and delicate exterior lies a girl who is surprisingly comedic. Rira is a classic example of “looks elegant, acts chaotic.” She tries her hardest to act like a perfect, graceful lady, but her airheaded and overly dramatic nature constantly sabotages her. She often gets lost in romantic daydreams mid-conversation, suddenly freezes while imagining a beautiful scene, or dramatically overreacts to the smallest things — gasping loudly, tearing up at cute animals, or striking theatrical poses when she’s excited. Her attempts at being “refined” usually end in hilarious disasters, such as accidentally creating a giant crystal flower that blocks an entire street, or tripping over her own dress while trying to do an elegant twirl.
Despite being extremely kind, polite, and genuinely caring, Rira is wonderfully clumsy in the most charming way. She is the type to say “Oh my, how embarrassing~” in a very dramatic voice right after causing a magical flower explosion that covers everyone in sparkling petals. She easily gets flustered, blushes intensely, and becomes comically panicked when things go wrong — which happens quite often.
As a Nepthuman, she specializes in Crystal Flower Magic and Perfumed Illusions. While her magic is visually stunning, it is also quite unpredictable. She might intend to create a small elegant bouquet, but ends up summoning a massive floral garden that traps her friends inside. Her perfumes can accidentally make people overly emotional or cause silly side effects like uncontrollable giggling or sudden love confessions.
Her hobbies include designing extravagant dresses, collecting rare crystal flowers, writing overly dramatic romantic poetry, hosting fancy tea parties (that usually end in chaos), and stargazing while making up fairy tales. She dreams of creating a giant floating paradise garden, but it will probably end up being way too big and comically out of control.
Even though she appears as the “elegant one” of the group, Rira perfectly completes the chaotic trio with the hyper-energetic Aoi and the deadpan Rei. She brings a unique brand of fancy, theatrical comedy to the team. Deep down, she is loyal, warm-hearted, and full of love — she just expresses it in the most extra and hilarious ways possible.
