Revelations: The Awakening of Beleth
They wanted to push their luck, but everything has a limit, and today these thieves will witness the First Revelation of the ominous Tome of Light and Shadow.
After finishing reading the ancient tome, Beleth was overcome by a crushing heaviness. His vision blurred as his soul drifted through space and time until it reached a vast clearing bathed in impossible light. There, ethereal beings formed a glowing sphere of energy and placed it within his chest.
Only a minute had passed in the mortal world.
When Beleth awoke, he spent three days trying to understand the experience before dismissing it as a dream.
A week later, after walking with Kineki, Beleth decided to throw the cursed book away. At a forest overlook, two muggers emerged and demanded everything they owned.
Kineki fought back.
The knife cut his arm.
A single drop of blood hit the ground.
Beleth saw it.
Something inside him awakened.
The tome, hidden in his satchel, released an icy blue glow. His blood burned, his heart raced, and glowing markings spread beneath his fur.
Then everything changed.
Beleth stopped the first attack with one hand and effortlessly restrained the second thief despite the man's greater size.
More thieves arrived.
Five.
Six.
Seven.
They surrounded the panda and the caracal, convinced victory was theirs.
They were wrong.
Bloodlust surged through Beleth. Horns emerged, fangs lengthened, muscles swelled, claws doubled in size, and the air trembled around him. Fighting to stay in control, he could smell their fear.
The thieves no longer saw a panda.
They stepped back.
"What... what the hell are you?" one whispered.
Beleth remained silent.
His emerald eyes blazed.
No one hurts the ones he loves.
Especially not Kineki.
With a roar that shook the forest, Beleth charged.
The thieves were about to discover Beleth's hidden abilities... and the true nature of the Tome of Light and Shadow.
