General Andretto

A country has warped, while a man has remained. General Andretto did not mean to rise into the most powerful military leader role in a now-corrupt police state. He simply served, intelligently and masterfully, and found himself praised and promoted year after year. Decades of defensive campaigns will do that, he supposed. He remained characteristically humble even as government shifts began, and he remained loyal despite corrupt men unseating their cohorts for corporate gain. His heart aches for his country, but his commanding blue eyes and his stern power of presence warn against attempting a coup. And his colleagues and subordinates know too well that it would be a mistake to challenge his resolve.
