Soren and his elder twin brother Saion were long lost, and long forgotton members of the Uchiha Clan that went into hiding after their father Tekka Uchiha was slaughtered during the Uchiha Clans coup d'état plan by none other than 13 year old Itachi Uchiha. It was a secret that Tekka Uchiha had a wife, who was also a mother to his two sons (who were only 1 years old during the Uchiha Clan Massacre) named Mifune Kaguya who was a part of the ruthless Kaguya clan. On the night of the Massacre, Soren and Saion Uchiha were kidnapped by their uncle, Tetsu Kaguya and led to safety in the Village Hidden in the Mist. There, they grew up as shinobi and were taught the ways of the Kaguya clan. Though for Soren, he grew a hatred for his mother and her views on the shinobi world. Soren is far too kind and intelligent to be swayed be the likes of her. When he turned 15, he became a rogue ninja and deserted the Village Hidden in the Mist to return to the Village Hidden in the Leaf. There, he was captured by the Anbu Black Ops and was interrogated as they believed him a spy. It was until he had revealed all of the secrets of the Kaguya Clan and the Uchiha Clan (only having a basic knowledge of the Uchiha as it was passed down from his mother who had learned that info from his father before his death) that they realized he was not a spy, but just a hurt kid who wanted freedom from the bounds of his abusive mother. He only wished he could also save his brother from her grip. From then on, he was secretly given lessons by none other than Kakashi, the Copy Ninja, who was the only other Ninja to have possession of the sharingan eye. They wanted him under close supervision, but they also wanted him to hone his abilities so that he might become an asset to the village someday. He was quickly assessed to be a skilled shinobi as he was also apart of the Hunter Nin-Corps back in his home-village. They realized he might be a great asset to the village and handed him over to Danso so that he would become part of the Anbu Black Ops for the Hidden Leaf Village.
