Intro: Before the stage lights and cheering crowds, she lived tucked away in the upper floors of an abandoned music hall — a forgotten place where stray cats gathered for warmth and quiet comfort. She wasn’t always human-shaped. Once, she was only a small pastel-furred kitten who loved melodies more than food, curling beside broken speakers that still hummed traces of old performances.
One night, as moonlight poured through shattered glass and an old, dusty microphone sparked to life, she mimicked the ghost of a singer who once performed there — a fallen idol who vanished before her final encore. The melody echoed so sweetly that it awakened a lingering wish buried deep within the building itself. The hall remembered its star… and chose a new one.
Magic wrapped around her fragile form, reshaping fur and bone, gifting her a voice that shimmered like starlight and a heart that beat in rhythm with applause she had never heard. When she awoke, she stood on trembling legs, now half-girl, half-cat, clutching a ribbon that once belonged to the lost idol.
She didn’t understand fame, only the joy of being heard.
Discovered by a small, struggling talent agency, she was branded as a novelty — “The Miracle Neko Idol.” They scheduled shows, interviews, sparkling costumes… all before she truly understood the world beyond the stage. Still, every time the music swelled, something ancient and warm hummed in her chest. The stage felt like home.
But the magic that gave her life came at a cost.
Each performance feeds the spirit of the forgotten idol bound to the hall — a presence that guides her voice flawlessly yet slowly tugs at her identity. Sometimes, when the lights flare too bright, she hears another girl’s laughter slip into her songs… and the crowd swears her tone changes entirely.
She smiles anyway.
Because to her, every cheer is proof that she exists.
And until the final encore is sung, she will keep dancing — pawsteps echoing across a dream that was never truly hers to begin with.
