Melantha
Melantha was born beneath the volcanic cliffs of a forgotten island where cyclopes were feared as monsters and driven into the mines to forge weapons for kings who would never speak their names. Unlike the others, Melantha possessed an unusual gift: she could “hear” flaws within metal before a blade was ever struck. As a child, she spent her nights beside the roaring furnaces, learning to bend iron into impossible shapes while her curly pink hair glowed copper beneath the forge fire. When raiders burned her homeland and stole the sacred forge-hammer of her clan, Melantha refused to flee. She fought through the flames, carrying the giant hammer across her shoulders as the last survivor of her bloodline.
Years later, travelers speak of a lone cyclops blacksmith whose forge burns at the edge of the wild frontier. Melantha crafts weapons not for conquest, but for those brave enough to protect others. Though her towering size and single piercing eye terrify most strangers, those who earn her trust discover a surprisingly calm and thoughtful soul beneath the soot and steel. Legends claim her hammer can shatter enchanted armor with a single strike, yet she only draws it in defense of her forge — a place she rebuilt from ruin with her own hands, stone by stone, ember by ember.
