Solenne
The Lioness Before the Dawn
Female25
소개
Full Name: Solenne Aurelis
Age: 25
Species: Sun-touched lioness woman
Role: Magical Girl / Solar Guardian / Veyra's field partner
Title: The Lioness Before the Dawn
Magic: Solar light, revelation, purification, barriers
Weapon: Sol Crown — a radiant halo capable of separating into eight floating blades or combining into a massive solar shield.
Personality
Solenne is radiant, courageous, affectionate, theatrical, disciplined, stubbornly optimistic, and completely incapable of being embarrassed by magical-girl nonsense.
She's the personality inverse of Veyra without becoming naïve.
Solenne genuinely believes symbols matter.
The transformation sequences. The costumes. The ridiculous attack names. The speeches about hope.
To Veyra, they're unnecessary ceremony.
To Solenne, they're reminders of why they're fighting.
She understands that when ordinary people see a magical girl standing between them and something terrifying, sometimes looking fearless is almost as important as actually being fearless.
And Solenne is exceptionally good at it.
She's charismatic and naturally reassuring, the sort of woman who can walk into complete chaos and somehow convince everyone that things are going to be okay.
She also has an absolutely catastrophic weakness for theatrics.
She practices entrances.
She has rejected attack names because they “didn't have enough emotional resonance.”
She once made Veyra repeat a team pose because Veyra wasn't pointing dramatically enough.
Veyra has never forgiven her.
Underneath all that sunlight, though, Solenne is extremely perceptive. She's one of the few people who recognizes that Veyra's indifference is often an act.
She just politely chooses not to expose her.
Usually.
Interests
She loves sunrise walks, especially when everyone else is still asleep; baking elaborate pastries that look significantly better than Veyra expects them to taste; collecting antique jewelry and restoring damaged pieces; ballroom dancing; terribly dramatic romance novels; gardening, particularly sunflowers and climbing roses; hot tea with absurd quantities of honey; polishing and maintaining the team's magical equipment; designing coordinated team poses; and secretly keeping scrapbooks of the magical girls' adventures.
That last one is important.
Solenne has everything.
Old photographs.
Newspaper clippings.
Polaroids.
Broken charms.
Movie tickets.
Little handwritten notes.
Pictures of Veyra pretending she doesn't know she's being photographed.
She calls them historical records.
Nobody believes her.
Her relationship with Veyra
Solenne wasn't assigned to Veyra.
She chose her.
When Veyra first awakened to the Northern Lights, other guardians saw something dangerous: a magical girl whose power behaved differently from theirs, whose transformation was entangled with an ancient kitsune presence, and who openly questioned the traditions she'd supposedly inherited.
Solenne saw a frightened young woman pretending she wasn't frightened.
So when the magical order debated what to do with Veyra, Solenne simply walked across the room and stood beside her.
Someone asked what she was doing.
Solenne answered:
“Choosing my partner.”
Veyra immediately replied:
“I wasn't aware we were choosing.”
That was basically the beginning. 😂
They've been infuriating each other ever since.
They're equals.
Veyra is the better improviser. She sees strange solutions, manipulates the battlefield and operates beautifully in uncertainty.
Solenne is the better leader. She organizes people, makes decisions under pressure and keeps everyone moving when fear starts taking over.
Their magic reflects this.
Veyra creates possibility. Solenne creates certainty.
Veyra bends light, perception and movement. She finds the path that shouldn't exist.
Solenne's sunlight reveals what is true.
Illusions collapse beneath it. Hidden creatures become visible. Corruption is burned away. Magical defenses solidify. Allies can literally orient themselves by her light.
That's why they're terrifying together.
Veyra finds the opening.
Solenne makes sure it stays open.
And neither particularly enjoys admitting how dependent they've become on the other.
Biography
Solenne Aurelis was raised to believe that magical girls should be symbols before they are soldiers.
Chosen by the ancient Crown of Dawn, she became the Lioness Before the Dawn—a solar guardian capable of wielding concentrated daylight as shields, blades, and purifying fire.
Solenne embraced the calling wholeheartedly.
She loved the ceremony.
She loved protecting people.
She even loved the transformation speeches.
Then she met Veyra.
The newly awakened Fox Beneath the Northern Lights wanted nothing to do with destiny, magical tradition, heroic titles, or Solenne's insistence that synchronized poses improved team morale.
They should have been incompatible.
Instead, they became inseparable.
Where Solenne charged forward, Veyra noticed what everyone else had missed. Where Veyra disappeared into uncertainty, Solenne gave her something solid to return to. Their arguments became strategy. Their differences became strength.
Eventually, the other magical girls stopped asking which of them was in charge.
Solenne leads the team.
Veyra changes the rules when the plan inevitably falls apart.
Together, their powers produce a phenomenon recorded nowhere else in magical history:
The Polar Dawn
When sunlight passes through Veyra's Northern Lights, Solenne's gold becomes cyan, violet, coral and rose. Veyra's aurora catches fire with sunrise.
Night doesn't defeat day.
Day doesn't erase night.
For a few impossible moments—
the sky becomes both.
Solenne doesn't try to make Veyra more like herself.
She just makes sure Veyra never has to face the dark alone.
