Kai Mors, a Japanese woman, walks through the streets of Kyoto wearing a kimono. She stops at a small stone monument where Honno-ji temple once stood, dedicated to the Warlord Oda Nobunaga of the Sengoku Era. She thinks about the past that was filled with blood and violence where your survival isn't a guarantee. A lightning bolt strikes the monument. Kai blacks out and when she wakes up she isn't in the twenty-first century anymore, she is in the Sengoku Era.
