From Syndicate to Soft Bubbles
Sinking into a mountain of plush, lavender-scented foam, Nova.exe let out a long, quiet sigh. The warm bathwater washed away the stress of the day, leaving only the soft crackle of bath salts and the gentle glow of ambient LED lights reflecting on the water.
Not so long ago, her nights looked completely different. As a formidable Yakuza leader, her life was defined by strict codes, high-stakes negotiations, neon shadows, and ruthless precision. Every move had to be calculated; every word, heavy.
Then came Byte.
Nova glanced over at the bathroom door, where a tiny, glowing green claw was currently trying to slide a squeaky rubber duck under the frame. A soft chuckle escaped Nova's lips. Byte had crashed into her life like a rogue computer virus, completely dismantling her carefully ordered underworld empire and replacing it with chaotic stream schedules, exploding routers, and midnight snack raids.
Life was undeniably louder now, far more absurd, and endlessly unpredictable. Yet, as Nova picked up a handful of bubbles and watched them sparkle in the warm light, a fond, sweet smile relaxed her face. Trading boardroom standoffs and shadowy alleys for endless giggles, chaotic household mishaps, and a loud, warm little family was the best trade she’d ever made.
"Nova?" a muffled squeak called through the door. "The duck wants to know if you're done reflecting yet!"
"Two more minutes, Byte," Nova laughed softly, sinking deeper into the warmth. She wouldn't trade this chaos for the world.
