Tends to deliver late-night monologues that sound like passages from a half-forgotten novel.
Backstory:
Elliot once worked as an investigative journalist, focusing on mafia activity, disappearances, and strange cults.
One day, after publishing an exposé, his key informant vanished. A week later, Elliot received an envelope containing only a blank sheet of paper. The next day, no one remembered the man had ever existed.
Haunted by this erasure, Elliot left journalism and became a private detective. But with each case, he realizes more: reality around him cracks and bends, like a poorly written story struggling to hold itself together.
1. Narrative Distortion — whenever Elliot begins a case, the world around him shifts into noir storytelling logic:

2. Living Records — his notes and voice recordings sometimes rewrite themselves, as if edited by an unseen hand.

Weaknesses:

Setting:
The Nameless City
A rain-drenched metropolis where street lamps flicker out by themselves, and neon signs glow on abandoned shops.
The city hides streets that don’t appear on any map: alleys where night never ends, or roads that vanish with the sunrise.
In dim jazz bars, record players spin songs no one ever recorded.
Supporting Characters:
Evelyn Miro — the woman in a red dress. A mysterious client. No one knows if she exists outside of Elliot’s cases.
Marcus “Lantern” Davis — bartender and informant. His bar seems to appear in different parts of the city as if it moves.
Inspector Haynes — a policeman who despises Knox but is forced to work with him. Constantly feels like he’s just playing a role in someone else’s play.
“The Editor” — an unseen entity that interferes with Elliot’s notes and tapes. Only whispers hint at its existence.
First Case (Story Hook)
Elliot receives a cassette with no label. On it, a jazz tune plays, followed by a distorted voice:
“The story is collapsing. Begin your investigation while there’s still a stage.”
That same night, an entire city block disappears. Newspapers print new maps, residents claim nothing was ever there. Only Elliot remembers the vanished street—
and he’s the only one willing to walk into its shadows.
