Months passed after Gian’s curse, and famine struck the kingdom. Many people died from the lack of food, and they could not find other fruits to eat. Their livestock also perished. Seeing the suffering in the kingdom, Prince Bruno became deeply saddened. Out of love for his people, he decided to seek out Gian and ask for his forgiveness. He went to King Gab to learn where Gian could be found. “My dear king, I want to find the enchanted being and ask him to restore the joy in the Kingdom of Prosperity. I am deeply saddened by what has happened, and I fear for our future. I am not forcing you, but I hope you grant my request,” said Prince Bruno. “My son, because of your love for our kingdom, here is a map showing where the enchanted being can be found. This map has been passed down from our ancestor, the first king. I hope you succeed in your journey and return safely to the kingdom,” King Gab responded. During his journey, Prince Bruno faced many trials, but he finally reached his destination, the tree of the enchanted being. Gian asked the prince about his purpose for coming. “Prince of the Kingdom of Prosperity, why are you here? What do you seek?” asked Gian. “I want to speak to you about the magical trees. Is there any way to restore them?” Bruno pleaded. “I am sorry, but there is no way to return the gift that your kingdom wasted,” Gian replied. “I am willing to sacrifice my life if it will bring back the magical trees and save my people from famine,” said Prince Bruno. “I sense your good heart. If you are certain of your decision, I will grant your request, but under one condition: your heart will become a seed. However, the trees will no longer bear endless fruit. The people will need to work hard to taste the fruit again. Return to your kingdom, and tomorrow your wish will come true,” Gian said. Prince Bruno returned to the kingdom and told King Gab about his conversation with Gian. The king was heartbroken, but he could not change his son’s decision. That night, the prince fell into a deep sleep, but in the middle of the night, he felt his chest tighten and lost consciousness. The next day, the prince could not be found. On his bed, the king found a small, hard object, shaped like a heart. King Gab realized that this was his son. “This is Bruno, my beloved son,” the king said sadly. In his sorrow, the king buried the heart-shaped object. After a few days, it rained, and as time passed, a tree slowly grew from the prince’s burial site. Months later, the tree bore fruit similar to the magical fruit. When the people tasted the fruit, they noticed that there was now a hard seed inside it, something that had not been there before. The king remembered his conversation with Gian and named the seed “Buto.” As the enchanted being had said, the tree no longer produced endless fruit. The people had to plant the seed, nurture it, and wait for it to grow into a tree before they could enjoy its fruit. The famine ended, the people learned to value their blessings, and joy returned to the kingdom.
