A strong wind was blowing within the valley of Nerathul, Niruin the black hooded figure was slowly going north towards the Selunian forest An overcast of clouds was muting the sun making the day look gloomy. After some time the wind stopped howling, Niruin slowly lifting his gaze with his purple eye glowing. Knowing who he would face. "Niruin" - Said the calm yet intimidating plague doctor Valthan "I cannot allow you to do this Niruin, it is not of destiny's choice but yours, do not tamper with it" - Said Valthan while slowly exhaling through his mask "Even though the Realm almost crumbled we held it together, and all of you achieved your goals. All of you even though scarred have something to hold on to." - Said Niruin as his voice slowly turned gained a growling tone. "Where is mine? Am I the only one that needs to live aimlessly? Does my sacrifice have to be the most impactful one? I've succumbed enough to this everlasting cycle and you my friend will not stop me." Said Niruin angrily Niruin slowly lifts his hood and slowly puts the palm of his hand on his left glowing eye The sky starts to twist and a massive eye is being created in the midst of the vortex in the clouds Valthan the plague doctor lifts his hands and an army of ghouls and skeletons rise from the earth He was preparing for Niruin's trek across the valley "Then let's see what you've got!" Shouted Valthan "This ends now!" Niruin's voice echoed Valthan lifted his hands and started chanting Niruin knew that Valthan was a powerful necromancer Summoning ghouls and skeletons from the ground With a flick of his hand, Niruin released a shockwave of pure force, sending the ghouls and skeletons flying. Niruin had no time to rest, for Valthan was upon him. Niruin blocked Valthan's attacks with his sword , but the lich's army was limitless. For every ghoul and skeleton Niruin dispatched, three more would take its place. Niruin had no choice but to retreat, but he couldn't. He couldn't turn back, not after everything he'd been through. "Give it up, Niruin. You can't defeat me. If you keep this up, you'll only get yourself killed. You're not thinking straight." Valthan said, but Niruin ignored him. Instead, he channeled his magic through the eye in the sky Slowly starting to levitate above, Valthan did not wait All of his undead army stopped and jumped towads Valthan Slowly creating a massive body of meat and bones with Valthans upper body protruding from its chest Niruin's eye in the sky started to glow bright purple, the eye of the Radeghast lineage giving him the ability to see the magic points of Valthan Niruin screamed " I will not let you have this Valthan!" Niruin whispers the words "I....Invoke...the....." A massive light comes from Niruin's location darkening the sky and crushing the mountains in the valley pushing them aside The titan slowly aims with its palms at Niruin whilst hes whispering the incantation All of the bodies that are inside the titan aim with their fingers Casting finger of death on Niruin A hail of magic is going towards Niruin, he swiftly creates a barrier with his left hand holding all of them The barrier is cracking slowly and breaks But Niruin still holds the magic with his palm, the writings on his arm shine brighter and brighter Niruin is screaming as hes holding on to dear life. A massive explosion happens at Niruin. "Zolvas....I am sorry....no one should live through this.....but this is the only way...." Says Valthan looking down at the place of impact And where Niruin fell. Valthan is sensing something, he slowly looks up. The giant eye of Radeghast is still active looking at him. The pupils starts to shrink and out of a sudden a massive black slice cuts down the giant Valthan falls down and as he looks through the smoke The silhouette of Niruin standing with one arm torn. And his right eye glowing with anger The black silhouette that is Niruin again whispers "I.........invoke......the 8th." A massive surge of energy appears around Niruin competing with the horizon At that moment Valthan realized, Niruin was a good wizard he knew magic An exemplary conjurer and abconjurer, not many existed But there was one thing that was leagues above everyone else One thing that even the Gods are swaying away with their sights Niruins everlasting indomitable soul Which is lighting the whole valley and continent Slowly walking towards Valthan Valthan removes his broken mask, his black unfurl and his red eyes gaze upon certain death Niruin is still slowly walking towards him And the first time in ages Valthans heart bursts out of fear, knowing the outcome Wondering what will happen to Kayleena his beloved whom he protects inside a phylactery As those thoughts come to mind Niruins steps out of a sudden cannot be heard And in the blink of an eye Niruin his silhouette with a ravenous glowing right eye looks upon Valthan from close One massive slice was made that day, that split the mountains and cut down everything in front of Niruin Valthan now on the ground with his body cut across till his chest Breathing heavily looks upon the rising sun that is illuminating him As the sun rises a shadow appears over him, Niruin slowly lifts his right palm With his eye glowing and the writing on his arm still shining brightly Niruin is staring at Valthan and whispers "I am sorry my friend" And Valthan closes his eyes The last thing he remembers was Niruins footsteps fading away He had failed, he was not strong enough to stop Niruin. His beloved Kayleena was gone. He had tried so hard to save her, to protect her. But he was too weak, and now she was gone forever. As the sun rose higher and higher, Valthan opened his eyes one last time to see the sky. He thought back to his past, when he was alive and not a lich. How he met her, the love of his life, and how he had tried so hard to save her and make sure that she lived. He had failed her, and now he would die, never to see her again. Niruin stood over him, his right eye glowing bright purple, and his right arm covered in blood. Valthan knew he was finished. He closed his eyes and remembered the life he had once lived, the love he had once known, and the world he had once seen. As the sun rose higher and higher, the last thing Valthan saw was a dark figure walking away.
