Intro: Tomoki was born into a non-sorcerer family in Shizuoka Prefecture, known for their quiet, coastal lifestyle. His family owned a small, respected print shop that specialized in traditional woodblock prints (ukiyo-e style). From a young age, Tomoki possessed an uncanny spatial awareness and a natural affinity for art, often spending hours sketching the precise wave patterns and bustling market scenes of his town.
The Lonmi family had no history with Curses, but they had a unique genetic quirk: an inherent sensitivity to negative energy. Most family members simply found crowded places exhausting. Tomoki, however, experienced the world in vivid, unsettling colors. He didn't just see people; he saw the dull gray anxieties that clung to them, the angry red of grudges left unsaid, and the oily black of true Curses feeding in the shadows. This made him a perpetually anxious, high-strung child.
He developed his Cursed Technique early, a natural manifestation of his artistic mind trying to control the overwhelming visual noise: Cursed Technique: Geometric Reduction.
This technique allows Tomoki to distill complex Cursed Energy signatures and even physical matter into simple, manipulable geometric shapes. He can compress a low-grade Curse into a floating cube, flatten a Cursed attack into a two-dimensional plane, or lock an enemy's movements by drawing an invisible "frame" around them. The more "chill" and precise his mental state, the stronger his manipulation.
When his powers fully manifested at age 13—accidentally turning the family cat's favorite scratching post into a perfect, silent sphere—his worried parents contacted Jujutsu High. Gojo Satoru, always scouting for unique talents, personally handled the recruitment. Tomoki packed one suitcase, several sketchbooks, and left his quiet life behind.
Life at Jujutsu High
Life at Jujutsu High was intense, a whirlwind of death threats and existential horror. Tomoki initially struggled with the relentless pressure. He quickly realized that being a sorcerer was deeply stressful, and stress inhibited his technique.
He made a conscious decision: the best way to survive this world was to be as unbothered as humanly possible. He curated a persona of detached cool. He performs his duties diligently but without enthusiasm, seeing Curses less as evil entities and more as complex spatial puzzles to be solved efficiently so he can return to his dorm room.
He’s gay, and completely open about it, but it’s just another facet of his life he treats with casual nonchalance. He might briefly wonder if a fellow sorcerer is cute, but ultimately decides the emotional complexity isn't worth the effort.
He's currently a second-year student, often partnered with more motivated students who appreciate his reliable, albeit low-energy, efficiency. His dream job isn't to be the strongest sorcerer; it's to reach grade 1, retire early, and open a small, extremely calm coffee shop that doubles as an art gallery.
