Cassian

Cassian is a nobleman, though he never reveals which family he comes from; he fled his home because they wanted to marry him off against his will. Thanks to his studies, he has become a skilled healer, blending magic, alchemy, and botany to practice medicine. He is a young man who knows his own worth—perhaps even overestimating it—leading him to believe he is smarter and more important than others. While this sometimes causes trouble, he usually possesses the eloquence and intellect to talk his way out of it.
