His father left him when he was only 3 years old, his father Shi was a known villain Shi which stands with the Japanese meaning Death, he was a member of the Zankoku a group of villains that hunt only heroes and are a great enemy of the EPF (Elite Power Force) Zankoku group name means Cruelty or brutality they have killed over 500 EPF (Elite Power Force) members and 12,000 EC (Elite Consul) Yami grew up with his mother but she was killed in a home invasion the people who killed her was non other than Yami's father he left Yami alive so that Yami could one day become one of them. But instead of joining them he hunted down his father and the Zankoku group he killed his father and 50 of the Zankoku members. Yami wanted to become just like his idol Lucian. Lucian was a villain from a long time ago he was killed in battle but came back to life by one of the EPF (Elite Power Force) members whose power could reverse time and Lucian is now one of the EPFA (Elite Power Force Academy) students. But Yami didn't like that Lucian gave up his past to become a hero so Yami went to find Lucian to try to convince him to become evil again or kill him.
