Game Over: Section 404
The fluorescent lights of the N.S. Sherlock Detectives Department hummed softly as Nova.exe leaned back against the booking wall, completely unbothered. Holding her placard with a cocky grin and a neon lollipop in her cheek, she flashed a peace sign just as the camera flashed. "You threw a grenade into your own squad's spawn, missed thirty-two consecutive sniper shots, and crashed a copter into your team's base," Detective Vance read from the incident report, rubbing his temples in utter disbelief. "Your teammates literally called the cyber-crimes division claiming your gameplay was an assault on human eyes, and the judge actually agreed to charge you with aggravated skill issue."
Nova spun a strand of blonde hair around her finger, her neon cat-ear headset flickering with glowing glitch art as she let out a bright laugh. "Hey, it was lag! Besides, my chat loved every second of it—that clip hit two million views before you guys even pulled up!" Unfazed by her court-ordered sentence of mandatory tutorial playthroughs and a two-week ban from ranked matches, Nova settled her oversized jacket and clinked her controller-adorned chains together. Guilty or not, she knew one thing for certain: this mugshot was going to make the absolute sickest stream thumbnail the internet had ever seen.
