Petals and Promises
Away from the digital noise, high-stakes schemes, and Byte’s endless chaotic antics, the world slowed down to a soft, sunlit hum.
Mara’s sharp armor and razor-edged sarcasm completely melted away, leaving only Meek Meek—her gentle, sweet alter ego. Nestled into the bloom of pink peonies, Meek Meek leaned softly against Andres, her hand resting over his heart. Her golden-brown eyes looked up at him with pure, unreserved tenderness, completely free of the usual defensive snark.
Andres leaned in, his dark blue hair brushing against his shoulder as he reached out with careful precision. With the gentlest touch of his fingers, he brushed a stray pink petal away from her cheek, captivated by how rare and precious it was to see Meek Meek step out into the open like this.
"You look entirely too peaceful," Andres murmured softly, his golden eyes warm. "Does this mean Mara is taking the day off, or should I be worried Byte is hiding in the bushes with a camera again?"
Meek Meek let out a light, breathless giggle, resting her hand right against his lapel. "Mara’s locked away for the afternoon. I bribed Byte with a fake master key to the spa servers before we left, so it's just us."
"Just us?" Andres smiled, closing the tiny distance remaining between them until their foreheads almost touched. "Then I intend to make sure Meek Meek stays right here for as long as possible."
Surrounded by falling blossoms and sweet silence, Meek Meek closed her eyes, completely content to let the rest of the universe fade away.
