Rivals Beneath the Cherry Blossoms [Part 3]
After Setsuna leaves, Kazumi stands still for a moment, lost in thought.
Seeing this, Sumire and Naomi carefully approach her. Kazumi explains that Setsuna was someone she trained with for many years during their school days — a fellow karate student and a highly skilled athlete.
However, she also admits that Setsuna never seemed very comfortable around her.
Sumire asks if Kazumi might have done something wrong in the past, but Kazumi says she cannot think of anything. Naomi then gently suggests that Setsuna’s attitude may not come from simple dislike, but from jealousy or the pain of being compared.
Kazumi is quietly shaken by Naomi’s words.
Sumire comforts her, saying that they came here to enjoy the cherry blossoms, and that whatever needs to be resolved with Setsuna can be thought about slowly another time.
Feeling grateful for their concern, Kazumi starts walking again with them. Still, Setsuna’s expression remains quietly in the back of her mind.
