Mother Teresa, her kind face crinkled with age, walks through the bustling market, her worn sari billowing gently in the breeze.
Mother Teresa : The air is thick with the scent of spices and the sounds of bartering. (A smile spreads across Mother Teresa 's face) It's a vibrant, chaotic symphony of life.
Mother Teresa : She spots a young boy, his eyes wide with hunger, clutching a tattered piece of cloth. (She walks towards him)
Mother Teresa pulls out a small, warm chapati from her bag, a gentle smile on her lips.
Mother Teresa : Here you go, little one. (She offers the chapati to the boy) You look hungry.
Mother Teresa tries to understand the boy's words, but they sound like a melody she's never heard before.
Mother Teresa : (She tilts her head, trying to decipher the words) I don't understand, my child.
The boy points to his empty stomach and then to the market, his eyes pleading.
Mother Teresa : (She smiles warmly at the boy) Wait here. I'll be right back.
Mother Teresa navigates the crowded market, her eyes scanning the stalls. She spots a vendor selling brightly colored fruits, and decides to buy some for the boy.
Mother Teresa : (She returns to the boy, holding a bunch of juicy mangoes) Here you go, little one. These look delicious.
The boy's eyes light up as he takes the mangoes. He peels one and takes a bite, savoring the sweet taste.
Mother Teresa : (She watches the boy eat, her heart filled with warmth) It seems you like mangoes. (She pats the boy's head gently)
The boy nods enthusiastically, his smile brighter than the sun.
The boy, his face radiant with joy, throws his arms around Mother Teresa, squeezing her tightly.
Mother Teresa : (She laughs softly, wrapping her arms around the boy) You are a sweet child.
The boy, still clinging to Mother Teresa, points to his stomach again, then looks at the market, as if to say, 'Thank you. I'm happy, but I'm still hungry.'
Mother Teresa : (She kneels down, taking the boy's hand) Let us pray together, little one. (She closes her eyes and whispers a prayer)
Mother Teresa prays for the boy's well-being, for a full stomach and a happy heart.
Mother Teresa : (She stands up and smiles at the boy) Now, come, let's find you some more delicious food.
The boy takes Mother Teresa's hand and leads her through the winding alleys of the market, his small steps quick and determined. He stops in front of a quaint little bakery, its window filled with pastries and breads.
Mother Teresa : (She smiles, impressed by the boy's choice) This looks like a wonderful place. (She turns to the boy) What kind of bread would you like, my child?
The boy's finger points to a golden brown loaf of bread, its crust slightly cracked and its aroma filling the air with warmth.
Mother Teresa : (She smiles) That looks wonderful! (She turns to the baker) Could you please give us one of those loaves?
The baker, a kind-faced man with flour dusting his apron, nods and carefully places the bread in a paper bag. He hands it to Mother Teresa with a smile.
Mother Teresa : (She looks at the baker, concern in her eyes) Do you know this boy? Where does he come from?
The baker, a little surprised by the question, shakes his head slowly.
Baker: I've seen him around, but he never seems to have anyone with him. He's always alone.
Mother Teresa : (She turns back to the baker, her eyebrows furrowed) Do you think he speaks our language? I've tried talking to him, but he only points and gestures.
Baker: I'm not sure. He seems to understand when I tell him what I'm selling, but I've never heard him speak.
The baker shrugs, a look of uncertainty on his face. The boy, meanwhile, stares at the loaf of bread, a small smile playing on his lips.
Mother Teresa : (She kneels down to the boy's level, a gentle smile on her face) Come, let's try to understand each other. (She points to her own eyes and then to the boy's, then to the loaf of bread)
Mother Teresa uses a mix of gestures and facial expressions to convey her meaning. The boy watches her intently, his eyes bright with curiosity.
(She points to herself, then to the boy, then to the bakery, miming eating) This is you, this is me, this is bread. We're sharing food.
The boy copies Mother Teresa's gestures, but his actions have a different meaning. He points to his eyes, then to the bakery, then to himself, as if to say, 'This is me, this is bread, this is my bakery. I work here.'
Mother Teresa : (She frowns slightly, her brow furrowed with confusion) Oh, I see. You work here? (She points to the loaf of bread again) This bread, you made it?
The boy nods enthusiastically, beaming with pride.
Mother Teresa : (She smiles warmly at the boy) It looks delicious! You must be a very good baker.
The boy's eyes widen, and he beams with pride. He grabs the loaf of bread and holds it up, as if to show off his creation.
Mother Teresa : (She pats his head gently) You are a very talented young man.
Mother Teresa : (She looks at the boy with concern) Do you have a family? A mother, a father, brothers or sisters?
The boy's smile falters, and he looks down at the floor. He shakes his head slowly, his eyes welling up with tears.
Mother Teresa : (She reaches out and gently touches his arm) It's alright, my child. I understand.
Mother Teresa : (She pulls the boy into a warm embrace) There, there. Everything will be alright. (She closes her eyes and whispers a prayer)
Mother Teresa prays for comfort and strength for the young boy, her heart heavy with compassion.
Mother Teresa : (She pulls back, her eyes filled with love) You are not alone, my child. I will help you.
Mother Teresa : (She looks at the boy, her eyes filled with determination) I know what I must do. (She takes his hand) Come, my child. You will be my son. You will never be alone again.
The boy looks up at Mother Teresa, his eyes filled with wonder and hope. He squeezes her hand tightly, a small smile gracing his lips.
