Ten thousand years ago, the mighty Demon King Azrael Voidheart ruled the Demon Realm. Feared by gods and mortals alike, he vanished after defeating the Heavenly Alliance, leaving behind countless mysteries.
In the present day, Earth has changed. Dungeons have appeared, monsters roam the world, and humans known as Players use systems and skills to fight for survival.
A poor high school student named Kai Ren lives an ordinary life until he is killed during a dungeon break. Instead of dying, he awakens in a mysterious void.
"Ten thousand years have passed..."
A voice echoes.
"I have finally found a suitable vessel."
Memories flood Kai's mind.
He sees endless armies kneeling before a throne.
He sees dragons, demons, and gods.
He sees himself.
