Love
Commonly—and particularly in the West—it is interpreted as a feeling linked to affection and attachment, one that both stems from and gives rise to a range of attitudes, emotions, and experiences. In a philosophical context, love is a virtue representing the fullness of human affection, kindness, and compassion. It can also be described as actions directed toward others and rooted in compassion, or as actions directed toward others (or oneself) and rooted in affection.
