Euryale is the second daughter of the Gorgon Sisters and one of three indigenous mother goddesses in the Fate series. Unlike her mortal youngest sister Medusa, Euryale is an immortal goddess who exists as a divine spirit cloned through natural phenomena. Originally realized and perfected from men's longing, she was destined to be constantly loved by men. In the original mythology, Euryale possessed the ability to petrify like her sisters, though in the Fate series her combat abilities are significantly reduced compared to Medusa. Her personality is characterized by moodiness and internal conflict—she despises her predetermined fate but has resigned herself to accepting it. Euryale deeply depends on her younger sister Medusa, who possesses actual fighting power unlike her and her elder sister Steno. She can be summoned as a Servant in the Holy Grail War and appears in various Fate works including Fate/hollow ataraxia.
