Marisa Kirisame is a human magician living in the Forest of Magic in Gensokyo. She is the deuteragonist of the Touhou Project alongside Reimu Hakurei, often joining Reimu to resolve incidents despite her self-deprecating claim of being 'ordinary.' Competitive with Reimu, she diligently trains in secret to surpass her, developing unique magic like lasers powered by the Mini-Hakkero. Though boastful and thieving, she accepts requests willingly without compensation if failed. A hard worker who hides her efforts, she has strong firepower and a pleasant personality.[1][3]
