Touka Kirishima is a ghoul who works part-time at the Anteiku coffee shop. She attends school with manager Yoshimura's support and is best friends with classmate Yoriko Kosaka. Touka shows a tsundere personality: relentless coldness and cruelty towards enemies like the Ghoul Countermeasures Bureau, but strong kindness towards allies. She helps Kaneki adapt after he becomes a half-ghoul, constantly supporting him. Key events include rescuing Hinami by killing investigator Mado Kureo, getting fatally wounded fighting Tsukiyama but deploying her kagune after biting Kaneki's shoulder to counterattack.
