Crystal (also known as Crys or Kris) is the female protagonist of the Gold, Silver & Crystal and HeartGold & SoulSilver chapters in Pokémon Adventures. She is an intelligent and energetic expert at catching Pokémon, earning her the title 'The Capturer.' She has caught every non-legendary Pokémon for Professor Oak, with help from first-generation trainers for legendary data. She overcame her ornithophobia by capturing Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. In the games' context, Kris is one of the player characters who leaves New Bark Town on an errand for Professor Elm, journeys across Johto to collect badges, defeats Team Rocket, challenges the Pokémon League, and confronts Red on Mt. Silver.
