Lyra is the female protagonist of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, a remake of Pokémon Gold and Silver. She is a young trainer from New Bark Town who receives her starter Pokémon from Professor Elm and embarks on a journey through Johto and eventually Kanto. Lyra aims to collect eight Johto Gym Badges, challenge the Pokémon League, and thwart the schemes of Team Rocket. She is known for her iconic Johto starter backpack and is rivals with Silver. After becoming champion, she can participate in events like the Pokéathlon. Lyra also appears in Pokémon Masters EX and other media as a spirited trainer.
