Verxina is an anthropomorphized character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby based on a real Japanese racehorse of the same name. The real Verxina was a successful racing mare who began her career at age 3 and won major races including the Daily Hai Queen Cup and the Victoria Mile twice (at ages 4 and 5). She was ridden primarily by Hiroyuki Uchida throughout her racing career. After retiring at age 5, she became a breeding mare at the Northern Farm in Abira, Hokkaido. In the Umamusume franchise, Verxina is characterized as the dependable eldest sister, with Chevalgrand and Byblos as her younger sisters. She is voiced by Kaya Okuno in the game.
