A2, or YoRHa Type A No.2, is a veteran combat android from the YoRHa squadron in NieR:Automata. She is a deserter who leads the Resistance against machine lifeforms after the betrayal and destruction of her unit during the Pearl Harbor Descent mission. Scarred by loss and distrustful of YoRHa command, A2 fights independently with a long sword and pod support. Her pale skin, long white hair, and black blindfold-like eye covering make her iconic. Despite her cold demeanor, she harbors deep emotions and ultimately aids 2B and 9S in their mission.
