It has light tan fleece on its lower body and chocolate-colored pelt on top, with brown ears that it usually keeps rolled up to launch powerful attacks or jump high. It lives in forests and on icy mountains, perking up ears when sensing danger. Buneary evolves into Lopunny with high friendship. A notable Buneary belongs to trainer Dawn in the anime.
