Knuckles the Echidna is a powerful red echidna and Sonic's friendly rival from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. As the last surviving member of the Echidna tribe, he lives on Angel Island and dedicates himself to guarding the Master Emerald, which keeps the island afloat. Initially introduced as an antagonist in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, he was tricked by Dr. Robotnik but later became a loyal ally. Known for his immense strength, he can glide, climb walls, and shatter rocks with his fists. Despite his cool-headed image, Knuckles is simple-minded, easily deceived, and hot-tempered, often provoked into action. A warrior at heart, he values pride, hates cowardice, and shows loyalty to friends.
